BARCARTS BLEND FORM AND FUNCTION
BY KELLY NEUMANN
Bar carts? Highballs? Is this the ’60s or something? OK, this is better: entertainment units. How does that work for everyone?
It certainly should, because we all entertain, whether you’re a Martha Stewart or because it’s your turn for Thanksgiving. Whether you are a seasoned entertainer or a humble host or hostess, these pieces can make the party flow with ease.
Does the piece have to be so literal? An entertainment armoire can stock an entire make-shift bar and double as an off-season storage piece. You can also transform a cabinet or chest into a beverage center.
For the serious host, choose a high-design bar cart for your fabulous condo, or a fully loaded bar armoire for that mixologist extraordinaire. In small spaces, choose a counter height table to use by day for eating and for the evening, a martini mix. These pieces can be another great way for displaying your handmade appetizers and desserts towering on a beautiful cake stand, or to show off your vintage tea set or barware.
