EVENT: The third annual Boots and Bling barn dance fundraiser was held at Lifestriders in Waukesha.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised through silent auction, raffles and ticket sales benefited LifeStriders’ therapeutic programs for people with special needs.

Pineview Wildlife Rehabilitation Gala

EVENT: The Pineview Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center hosted its 18th annual gala at the River Club of Mequon.
CAUSE: The proceeds benefitted the non-preofit, which is committed to the rehabilitation and preservation of Wisconsin’s wildlife as well as educating people on co-existing with wildlife. In addition to raising funds for the center, the gala also hosted an educational program featuring live birds of prey and released a great horned owl.

Best Buddies Leadership Breakfast

EVENT: The Best Buddies Leadership Breakfast was hosted at the Pfister Hotel, where Don Weber was honored with the Van Handel Spirit of Inclusion – Community Leader Awards and Stephanie Graham of Steinhafels was honored with the Spirit of Inclusion – Participant Award.
CAUSE: The proceeds raised at the event will go to support local friendship and leadership programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
PROCEEDS: $85,000 was raised at the event through table sponsorships, raffle items and a live appeal.

Milwaukee Public Mueseum Gala

EVENT: The Milwaukee Public Museum hosted the 31st annual Milwaukee Public Museum Gala: Mysteries of the Maya.
CAUSE: The event raised funds for the museum’s education programs, exhibits and operations. Attendees were given a special preview of the museum’s future as well as a private look at the newest exhibit “Weapons: Beyond the Blade.”
PROCEEDS: The event raised $400,000 through ticket sales, sponsorships, auctions and raffles.

Prevent Blindness Dinner

EVENT: Prevent Blindness Wisconsin’s 37th Annual Celebrity Waiters Dinner honored the Milwaukee Admirals and their owner, Harris Turer, with the Prevent Blindness Wisconsin Community Partner Award and Addisyn Reed was recognized as the Prevent Blindness Wisconsin’s 2017 Preschool Vision Screening Ambassador.
CAUSE: Proceeds support free vision screening programs for over 200,000 children throughout the state annually.
PROCEEDS: The 37th Annual Celebrity Waiters Dinner raised more than $135,000 through a wine pull, silent, live and paddle auctions.

Literacy Luncheon

EVENT: The Sharon Lynne WIlson Center for the Arts hosted the fifth annual Literacy Luncheon October 20.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised benefit the arts education programming, which serve 10,000 students throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
PROCEEDS: More than $36,000 was raised through registration, a live auction, and a raffle. Sponsors Faye’s and Faye Wetzel generously donated 40% of proceeds from jewelry purchased through a John Istwan and the KALIBRE COLLECTION Trunk Show, as well as at the luncheon itself on October 20, and 10% of all in-store sales on October 20-22.

Ozaukee Family Services Luncheon

EVENT: The Ozaukee Family Services hosted their fall luncheon at The Watermark at Shully’s in Thiensville.
CAUSE: The luncheon benefitted Ozaukee Family Services, a non-profit organization that offers programs such as Family Education & Support, Prevention and other School based programs, Counseling and Senior Services.
PROCEEDS: Tickets, sponsorhips and raffles raised approximately $17,000.
