EVENT: SHARP Literacy, Inc. hosted their SHAPRE Literacy A Novel Event with Randall Cobb at the Pfister Hotel October 16. At the event Jim Mueller, president of Mueller QAAS, was presented with a Literacy Champion Award for his ongoing support of SHARP Literacy’s education program, and Cecelia Gore, executive director of Brewers Community Foundation, received SHARP Literacy’s EDGE Award.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised at the event will benefit the SHARP’s foundational literacy program, which helps approximately 9,000 elementary school students in 38 of Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties’ most at-risk schools.
PROCEEDS: Sponsorships, individual ticket sales, live, silent and paddle auctions helped raise approximately $340,000 for the program.

EVENT: Patrons gathered at the Pfister Hotel for the 18th annual Monarch Ball, which included a wine pull, live auction special auction and raffle, to benefit The Lutheran Home Foundation, which raises awareness and financial support for older adults.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefit the needs of adults in the Lutheran Home and Harwood Place.
PROCEEDS: This year’s Monarch Ball broke records and raised about $180,000.

EVENT: The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee celebrated its launch of the public phase of Made in Milwaukee, Shaping the World: The Campaign for UWM at the We Energies Public Service Building in Milwaukee.
CAUSE: The $200 million campaign is raising support for students, research and community engagement.
PROCEEDS: More than $170 million has already been raised during the campaign’s quiet phase. A $1.7 million gift from Rockwell Automation was announced at the event.

EVENT: The Curling Center at the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds hosted the Cedarburg Community Gala to benefit the Greater Cedarburg Foundation, which provides funding to enhance the quality of life in the greater Cedarburg community.
CAUSE: The funds raised from the gala will be used to provide grants to non-profit organizations for special programs.
PROCEEDS: Ticket sales and an auction brought in $60,000 to benefit the foundation.

EVENT: The 34th annual Challenger Event honored Deanna and Eric Tillisch for their commitment to individuals with disabilities in the community.
CAUSE: The event benefits Life Navigators, an organization dedicated to supporting adults and children with disabilities to be out and active in the community.
PROCEEDS: Sponsorships, donations, a raffle, and both a voice and live auction raised $285,000.
EVENT: The second annual Fight Club for a Cure was held at the Intercontinental Milwaukee.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society, which funds research into treatments and a cure for all types of cancer.
PROCEEDS: More than $28,000 was raised through silent and live auctions, a wine pull, and a pop-up jewelry display by Kendra Scott.
