The Big Event 2016

EVENT: The Big Event held by the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield, where “Flit,” the inaugural sculpture in the Lynne Chappy Arts Park, was unveiled.
CAUSE: All funds raised support the Wilson Center’s arts education programs and outreach benefiting students.
PROCEEDS: More than $250,000 was raised through raffles, event sponsorships, ticket sales and donations.

Finally Home

EVENT: The dedication of two new Operation Finally Home locations in Jackson. CAUSE: The event celebrated the completion of mortgage-free houses for Army Spc. Bo Kitelinger and Army Sgt. Drew Wroblewski, both with distinguished service records and who were injured in the line of duty. PROCEEDS: Each $350,000 home was built through donations from the building trades and community. Neumann Companies donated the lots, and Belman Homes and Tim O’Brien homes built the houses.

Olivias Chemo Bash

EVENT: A party to celebrate 14-year-old Olivia Stern’s last chemo treatment.
CAUSE: Proceeds went to the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) and Make-A-Wish Wisconsin, two organizations that helped Stern.
PROCEEDS: More than $17,000 was raised through donations.

EVENT: Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation’s “Somewhere In Time XI.”
CAUSE: Protecting the Cedar Lakes watershed, which supplies the Milwaukee River and Lake Michigan with water.
HIGHLIGHTS: 1890 lakefront home setting, dinner by Shully’s and music by Rhythm Aces Dixieland Band.

A Gathering of Women

EVENT: The 12th annual Women’s Gathering hosted by Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation at the Wisconsin Club.
CAUSE: All proceeds benefited Rogers’ Spiritual Care program, which offers support for those dealing with mental illness.
PROCEEDS: A record $62,000 was raised through donations, sponsorships and raffle ticket and pin sales.

Rose & deJong Gala 2016

EVENT: The Milwaukee-based law firm Rose and deJong, S.C., hosted its sixth annual Rose & deJong Gala at Blue Mound Golf & Country Club in Wauwatosa.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefited the Wisconsin chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to support MS-related research and services.
PROCEEDS: More than $18,000 was raised through donations, ticket sales and a silent auction.
