Sounds of Music and Success

EVENT: Beyond Vision and Industries for the Blind co-hosted Live at the Lakefront, featuring festive live music on the Discovery World grounds.
CAUSE: The event raises awareness about the value of creating employment opportunities for people who are blind. Representatives from Harley-Davidson, Briggs & Stratton, Ariens, GenMet and Bader Philanthropies heard success stories from people who benefited from their employment and support.

Fête du Cercle

EVENT: Alliance Française de Milwaukee hosted its 19th annual Fête du Cercle at a privately owned Milwaukee home.
CAUSE: Proceeds support the mission of l’Alliance Française, which is to promote, share and enjoy the culture, language and friendship of the French-speaking world.
PROCEEDS: $20,000 was raised through ticket sales, sponsorships and a silent auction.

EVENT: The nonprofit Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital Auxiliary hosted 40 Years of Fashion, its annual style show and luncheon, at the Golden Mast in Okauchee.
CAUSE: Funds will be used for new hospital equipment.
PROCEEDS: The event raised $15,000 through donations, ticket sales and a raffle.

EVENT: More than 275 women gathered to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month at the Wisconsin Club’s downtown location.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefit the Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation’s spiritual care program.
PROCEEDS: $66,000 was raised through donations and ticket sales.

Showhouse Preview Party

EVENT: The Wisconsin Breast Cancer Showhouse hosted its Raise a Glass to Hope event, where designers and friends gathered on the East Side for a preview of this year’s 20th anniversary showhouse. Guests enjoyed small plates and live music outdoors.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefit breast cancer and prostate cancer research at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
PROCEEDS: Nearly $82,000 was raised through donations, sponsorships, ticket sales, and live and silent auctions.
