Annual Awards 2016

EVENT: The Milwaukee County Historical Society hosted its annual awards dinner and fundraiser at The Pfister Hotel.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefited the society, which aims to recognize and preserve Milwaukee’s rich history.
HONORED: The Witness to History award was given to Dr. William Finlayson. Other awards went to John Gurda, Marion Chester Read and Gary Grunau.

EVENT: Ozaukee Family Services hosted its annual spring brunch at The Watermark in Thiensville.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefited child abuse prevention and other programs helping families and individuals in Ozaukee County.
PROCEEDS: Approximately $20,000 was raised through ticket sales and a raffle.

Creative Fusion 2016

EVENT: The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design hosted the 10th anniversary of its signature charitable event, Creative Fusion.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefited MIAD student scholarships.
PROCEEDS: A record $580,000 was raised through donations, ticket sales, a silent auction and event sponsorships.
HONORED: The event honored its co-founders, Madeleine and David Lubar.

Fromm Family Foods, in partnership with Milwaukee World Festival, brought the annual Fromm Petfest to Milwaukee’s lakefront, featuring family and pet-focused activities. Proceeds from ticket and food sales benefited a number of area animal-related nonprofits.

CAUSE: A portion of proceeds benefited the Mitchell Mansion Preservation Initiative, an organization founded in 2015 to fund the historical preservation of the Mitchell Mansion.

Tree of Giving Gala 2016

EVENT: The Elm Grove Junior Guild hosted its 50th annual Tree of Giving Gala at The Rotunda in downtown Waukesha.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefited the guild’s charitable efforts, and 25 percent of funds raised were granted to the Village of Elm Grove, funding various public initiatives.
PROCEEDS: More than $67,000 was raised through event sponsorships, an auction and ticket sales.
