EVENT: The Elmbrook Humane Society hosted its spring gala at the Marriott West in Waukesha.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefited programs and services including care and housing for animals, humane education for youth and adults, dog and cat training, and foster care.
PROCEEDS: About $52,000 was raised through sponsorships, ticket sales, raffles, donations, and live and silent auctions.
HONORED: Stanley Kass, who died in January 2017, was recognized for his longtime support of the Elmbrook Humane Society and other animal-related causes.

Celebrating the Light

EVENT: Over dinner and cocktails at the Milwaukee Public Museum, the Rogers Memorial Hospital Foundation’s Celebrate the Light gala highlighted mental health programs that positively impact families.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefited patients and programs at Rogers Memorial Hospital, as well as state-wide stigma-reduction initiatives.
PROCEEDS: $170,000 was raised through tickets, auctions, raffles and donations.

Giving Hope

EVENT: Arlene & Joel Lee hosted the We Care: Give Thanks, Give Hope event in their downtown condo.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefited the We Care Fund at the Medical College of Wisconsin. We Care supports physicians and researchers working on medical research and clinical projects in the fields of cancer, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal diseases, organ transplantation, childhood diseases and trauma.
PROCEEDS: $30,150 was raised through individual contributions.

Life Goes On

EVENT: Lifestriders hosted its 33rd annual Challenger Event including golf and dinner at the Blue Mound Golf & Country Club.
CAUSE: Proceeds supported children and adults with disabilities who wish to be out and active in the community.
PROCEEDS: Life Navigators raised $275,000 through sponsorships, donations, a raffle, and silent and live auctions.
HONORED: Dave, Carol and Dan Anderson were recognized for their commitment to local individuals with disabilities.
