Nearly 200 people attended The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County's inaugural OTHERS Luncheon at The Wisconsin Club's downtown location. The event honored Bader Philanthropies, Inc. for its involvement in providing grants to The Salvation Army's programs and services, which support the organization's mission of improving lives to help families and individuals succeed.

Project ReUNITED

Featuring designers from season 15 of “Project Runway,” including Milwaukee’s own Linda Marcus, Project ReUNITED included a large-scale runway show and pop-up shops from the designers and presenting sponsor Boston Store. The one-night-only event benefited United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County.

Race for the Cure

Held on the Milwaukee Art Museum grounds, the 19th annual Susan G. Komen Southeast Wisconsin Race for the Cure raised funds to aid in the fight against breast cancer. Event proceeds support the organization’s mission to provide breast health services, education and area outreach.

Dream Big Dinner VIP Event

EVENT: College Possible hosted their Dream Big Dinner VIP Event where, along with raising money for their causes, announced the organizations and community members that will be honored at the 2018 Dream Big Dinner on April 19.
CAUSE: Proceeds will benefit College Possible’s mission to make college admission and success possible for low-income Milwaukee students through coaching and support.
PROCEEDS: The event garnered $68,000 in preliminary sponsorships for the Dream Big Dinner in April.

Giving Forward

EVENT: Waukesha County Community Foundation hosted its annual Giving Forward Breakfast, which focused on charitable giving, sharing moving stories, and learning about various non-profits.
CAUSE: This event raises awareness about the charitable giving within Waukesha County and announced the 2017 competitive Community Grants, awarding $134,500 to 27 local organizations.
PROCEEDS: Though the main goal of the event was to raise awareness for the foundation, the community generously donated more than $30,000 to the cause.

Sharp Literacy A Novel Event

EVENT: SHARP Literacy, Inc. hosted their SHAPRE Literacy A Novel Event with Randall Cobb at the Pfister Hotel October 16. At the event Jim Mueller, president of Mueller QAAS, was presented with a Literacy Champion Award for his ongoing support of SHARP Literacy’s education program, and Cecelia Gore, executive director of Brewers Community Foundation, received SHARP Literacy’s EDGE Award.
CAUSE: Proceeds raised at the event will benefit the SHARP’s foundational literacy program, which helps approximately 9,000 elementary school students in 38 of Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties’ most at-risk schools.
PROCEEDS: Sponsorships, individual ticket sales, live, silent and paddle auctions helped raise approximately $340,000 for the program.

Monarch Ball

EVENT: Patrons gathered at the Pfister Hotel for the 18th annual Monarch Ball, which included a wine pull, live auction special auction and raffle, to benefit The Lutheran Home Foundation, which raises awareness and financial support for older adults.
CAUSE: Proceeds benefit the needs of adults in the Lutheran Home and Harwood Place.
PROCEEDS: This year’s Monarch Ball broke records and raised about $180,000.
